Spiral galaxy NGC 891 is located in the constellation of Andromeda at a distance of 10 million LY from Earth.
It is an edge-on spiral from our perspective and displays a prominent central dark band of gas and dust.
It is believed to be a member of a small group of galaxies known as the NGC 1023 Group.
